For restaurant customers:
The contribution of €2 is voluntary and is removed from the account at the simple request of the customer. This contribution per table is added after VAT. It's rare for restaurant goers to object to this, and it's a great opportunity to help those in need during the coldest months of the year. From experience we see that less than 1% of customers refuse the contribution, and they are often asked whether they can give anything extra.

Administration:
Electronic cash register systems register the donations, so there is little administration involved. At the end of the campaign, which runs in November and December, the money will be transferred to Streetsmart. We collect the contributions and transfer the total to Food Bank Belgium.

VAT:
The contribution of €2 is added to the bill after VAT and is not considered valuable. This therefore has no impact on your taxes.

Payments:
Participating restaurants are asked to transfer the contributions to Streetsmart's account BE82 1030 9278 0568 by the end of February at the latest, stating the name of the restaurant for the transaction.
